Starting out at the meadow |
It is chilly and starting to snow |
The snow makes for pretty hiking. Setting up camp was a trick. Snapped a tent pole. |
Duct tape and an hour gave a working tent. Then the stove wouldn't work so dinner was cold. |
The next morning, the stove worked OK so I packed up a few quarts of boiling water, my gear and set out. This is slant rock lean-to. |
Top of the steep climb to razor rock. |
Wind swept snow |
Razor rock |
View toward basin |
The wind on little haystack was strong enough that I was blown over a crevice. It was blowing snowballs out of Panther gorge. |
