Day 2 Loop
 We leave shoe box falls at day break |
 and find tall trees on |
 the hike to Owl's Head Lookout |
 where we can plan our trailless crossover to the Bald-Rocky-Peak Ridge |
 some cool flowers |
 and our trailless descent to the brook |
 where we come out at the desired split in the brook |
 we pump lots of water |
 and climb trailless, often following animal trails |
 lots of birch bark |
 we reach the ridge trail at the col between Bald and Rocky Peak and climb to get a view of Bald Peak |
 now higher and with a better view |
 and higher still |
 until we reach the first bump of Rocky Peak where we enjoy lunch |
 we move along the ridge |
 reaching Mary Louise Lake |
 and the summit |
 where a stretch is in order |
 the col means we have just one more mountain to do |
 we get great views east as we near the summit |
 and we reach Giant |
 and great, but hazy views |
 we reach high bank |
 which is a high bank |
 and play hide-n-seek with a wood pecker |
 we get a last view of Owl's Head Lookout on the way down |
 the next morning, a swim refreshes, before the drive home |
