Leaving spring behind in Easton	I camp a night	and get to the trailhead early
more light	sunshine	and soon enough to OwlHead Lookout
with it splendid views	no snow on the trail for a bit	beautiful trailside
I descend trailless to the river crossing the north branch on wet rocks	and the south on an ice bridge	huge lichen
as I ascend toward the Bald-RPR col, I scramble a knob with a view	continue ascending to the trail in the col	a soon a spot with a view: snow melts
and splendid	views	abound
a lookout north	East end of Rocky Peak Ridge beckons	someone did serious postholing
views of Rocky Peak Ridge and Giant	Red tipped goblet lichen	Lake Marie Louise
a view back	delighted to be on Rocky Peak Ridge	spendid views and thunder? (likely was an avalanche)
soon enough climbing Giant	a view east	a lovely summit
the view west	the view north	old man's beard lichen
hey, my crampon sheared off	several lovely miles back	some without snow
a pause at High Banks	back to Owlhead Lookout	and lovely ice
and grand pine on the way out
