the ascent is gaurded by this spider	successfully to the col: first views ascending RPR	lots of ascending
east shouder in view	clouds are a vertical wall blocking the view east, but in other directions the view is fine	along the shoulder

closer to RPR	a fine view toward Giant for lunch	cloud wall remains
birch stands against the weather	up the trail to giant	fine views
its a long way to the view at high banks	giant mullen and a glimpse of Owlhead Lookout	white baneberry

on the dam	very vague herdpath, but many footprints	tippy toe view
descending beyond, to the hint of a stream	soon it is a lovely path to follow	cascades and rocks
fine place to cool off	cascade beside a slant wall	lots of blowdown
