Marcy and Pitchoff with REU

We gather at south meadow	pass an old beaver dam	and reach Marcy dam
a pose	a sream crossing	to indian falls with a view under the clouds
refreshing rain	crossing a wet spot	climbing
nearing the top	standing upright	a pose
facing the wind on the very top	goldenrod	down the windy wet side
descending	into the fog	several of us slipped
reaching treeline	still plenty of descending	lunchtime at four corners
lots of wet spots	and balancing to do	lake tear of the clouds
ladders	boardwalks	rock hops
flumes	we stop above wide falls for a good break	fine views
resting	resting	resting
and some small swimming holes	a pose	across the river
algonquin across lake colden	a scramble	reaching avalanche lake
the dike	both mountains	some of colden
boardwalk	a ladder	end of the lake
with some muck	back to marcy dam for our last break	the next morning brings purple fungi
climbing	and smiles on Pitchoff east	reaching the first great view
taking a break	a bit more clambering	more views
onto the second knob	blueberries	enjoying the open rock
blueberries	descending	hopping
hopping	indian pipes	a tricky climb
ascending the crevice	lunchtime	a pose
to balanced rocks	to climb	and leap
descending into the crevice	smile	overhang
