Snowshoes on in the roadside slop	first stream crossing	down to Shoe box falls
view from the top of the falls	second stream crossing is a breeze	third stream crossing takes us away from the herd path
we climb to views	more	climbing
and	more	a fine view of spotted mountain
views	all around	we pose, blasted by wind
some descent on rock	some descent on snow	we pause for a snack
and dry socks	lots of climbing	with a view
breaking trail	more views	dry socks
a smile	using the ice axe	lots open on the summit
crossing rocks and ice	and more	blasted by the wind
me too	descending through forest	lots of snow
ice and low branches	we return to the herdpath at the river	dry socks
what was our second stream crossing requires a detour	arriving in New Russia as the sun sets	in the morning we head to the lake road
add snowshoes at the end	obscure trailhead	soon climbing switchbacks
and an ice	covered ladder	ice display
fearsome teeth	onto Indian head	posing in the wind
chilling	with views	I pose
Gothics	lower ausable	we don't want to leave
descending	snow	past the ice
down the ladder	without snowshoes	a glimpse
back to the lake road	and to New Russia where we hang up out Kahtoolas
