Porter is somewhere over the distant ridge	rodents dragging tails	look back at Pitchoff
split rock on the ridge	crossing the ridge just before it get steep	and reaches cliffs
on the other side	tarversing the side of the ridge	Porter on the far ridge
rugged traverse	deep snow in the valley	snow get really deep and the valley tight
through thicket	through thicket	glad to find the trail on the ridge
great range view a boulder	the bennies brook slide	on porter
a view of cascade	view ascending cascade	on the summit
ravens visit	last view on descent	crossing the cascade lakes
as the sun gets low	road supported by mortarless rock wall	ice climber has a nice route
old dam near the outlet	bleached roots	time to leave the river and use the road
