At south meadow	to Marcy dam	a small creek to cross
to indian falls	a bird	a trail
a glimpse of Marcy	a view at treeline	lots more to go
across a bog	up open rock	cotton sedge
lapland rosebay	reaching the summit	we have lunch but no view
deer tail grass	open descent	reaching treeline
lake tear of the clouds	smile after a nice rest	wet trail
wet river crossing	a flume	along the opalescent
checking out the falls	more falls	rest above wide falls
wide falls from below	across the river	Lake colden from the dam
off the dam	wet boardwalk	avalanche lake
we pose	the trap dike	onto the bridge
further along the lake	to the end of avalanche lake	through the pass to Marcy dam
the next day brings us to the garden	we take the southside trail	lovely mosey to the river
which is high	much effort finding a dry crossing	the trail reaches the river's edge
nice swimming hole	to bypass	across rift brook
we pause	to admire the river	before getting to bennies brook
which we follow up	around falls	onto open rock
past crystals	a bit of a view back	lots of rock upward
wide slide	slip fault	more views down
pretty steep	we rest in the clouds	nearing the top
some views	hope for blue skies	we reach the trail on the ridge
but no views from lower wolfjaw	eroded trail down	clambering
another slide	bridging erosion	we lunch on the slide
we get a lovely sky	a casual pose	along the bubbling waters
onward	for a short break by a johns brook rock flow	rift brook
new bypass	we wade across at a safe spot	not the right spot, we wade back
at the right spot, it is deeper	blue eyed grass back at camp
