Vegetation glowing streamside	a steep climb	up to views
old man's beard	lichen	bunchberries
to balanced rocks	a look aside	a look under
into the crevice	under the ledge	around the corner
a view of Cascade	outlet to big cherry patch pond	following the herd path
under a tree	we find open water	and set in
a cattail wall on an old beaver dam blocks the way	setting into the main pond	we enjoy the water and mountain views
in an hour we have paddled the pond and we head back
