view from the first knob	and all around suffices today	whiteface in the distance
Heading into the Dix wilderness trying the north side of the north fork	one set of old bootprints to follow	descending above shoe box falls
not a place to cross today	first river crossing	E'town #4 across an old beaver pond
last crossing before the climb	climbing	to views
fleeting glimpse of sky	onto steep rock	summit vegetation
clouds reclaim the peaks	descending through the garden	crossing to the south side of the north fork
