Trailhead parking is full; so we road walk	onto the trail	onto the herdpath
snack break	Elk lake	viewed from the bottom of the slide
a slight way up we take a break	climbing restarts	and continues
getting by a tricky spot	careful climbing	and occasional standing spot
around a rock	reaching a steep part	maybe there is a way around
lesser traveled route	toad or frog	the steep climbing is over
on Mccomb	lunching	with wide views
of the	great range in the distance	summit marker
white admiral butterfly	descending	to the open rock on South dix
a break with views	more climbing	a small scramble down
views to the south	fritillary butterfly	desceding and climbing
to Grace	almost a crowd	view to the south
we switch to the other side with views to the north	and the descent begins	carefully
"I like going down"	on the steep	looking back
going down	a stretch	moving carefully
just walking	descending	avoiding wet red
being careful	cutting through vegetation	onto the herd path
a swimming hole	a double click	a rest
tempted	getting ready	it is cold
splash in	splash out	refreshed
poses		stream crossings
old beaver pond	river crossings	are a tad high
