On the Colorado River

Sand blew all night long and everything was covered and saturated with sand in the morning	waiting to load the raft	chipped chert
we stop at the first canyon	and visit Bert Loper's destroyed boat	up the canyon passed an engineering camp
is a fine place for a brisk shower	isn't this great	Jen steering

but who can resist getting in?	the blue water; the white deposits on the rocks	now this is a nice trail
we ride the current	down the river	we head back down the river, barely able to leave such a beautiful place
we rest and swim	our guide keeps a watchful eye	a ring neck (?) lizard
lunch in the shade	worm burrows	we prepare to launch
we don't want to know what Matt is preparing for	more splashes	smiles
