October 1996 Hike on the Outer Banks of North Carolina Part 1

Our family enjoyed a backpacking visit to a road-less barrier island on the outer banks of North Carolina. There is a small four-vehicle ferry running to the island. Some folks take their 4x4's, we choose to backpack. Click on images for a larger view.
